Detailed Paper-Wise Syllabus
#### Paper-I : General English (100 Marks)
- Spelling of words
- Correct use of words
- Correction of sentences
- Use of common phrases
- Synonyms and Antonyms
- Punctuations
#### Paper-II : Dictation and Transcription (400 Marks)
- Shorthand Dictation for 6 minutes at 80 words per minute.
- Transcription of Shorthand notes on computer within 1 hour.
#### Paper-III : Computer Typing (100 Marks)
- Typing on computer at a minimum speed of 30 words per minute.
- Total test duration is 10 minutes.
Important Examination Rules
- Number of admissible errors in Paper-II and Paper-III is decided by WBPSC.
- Qualifying marks will be fixed separately and in aggregate for all papers.
- Qualifying marks relaxation applies to SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and PwBD candidates.
